Tim has a record of working and leading as appropriate in a collaborative style across the the range of commercial, non-commercial, governmental and charity sectors, to achieve pragmatic, realistic outputs that are widely accepted. Tim has held company directorships, non executive roles, Charity Trusteeships, and chaired company boards.
Tim has extensive communications and media experience, presenting scientific issues proactively and in crises, to specialist and general audiences and pre-recorded and live national and international print and broadcast media.Tim also has wide experience of public affairs and has regularly directly interacted with parliamentarians, officials and Ministers/Commissioners, in the UK, devolved administrations and in the EU.
Tim maintains a strong scientific perspective, through publications and presentations, teaching, grant review, holds a Wellcome Trust grant, has edited books and journals, and has active involvement in the recently established Veterinary School at Nottingham, and has a range of academic contacts from international collaborations on animal research, animal sports medication control and animal welfare across Europe, Asia and North America
